Eyebrows

Eyebrows frame the eyes and give expression to the face. The proper shape and placement of the brows is essential. Tammy D’Eramo performs a patch test on all eyebrow patients to make sure there is no adverse or allergic reaction. She then waits one (1) week before proceeding with the procedure. Before implanting the pigment the patient and technician agree on the design and shape that is best suited for the individual’s features. A topical (numbing) anesthetic cream is applied to the area this takes approximately 30 minutes. The entire process takes 11/2 to 3 hours depending on how much shaping and designing is needed to achieve the results were are looking for. While the procedure is healing it should be cleansed daily, patted dry and a thin application of petroleum jelly applied as often as needed to keep the area moist. During the healing process it is the nature of the procedure to expect from 20% to 40% of the color to exfoliate. The subsequent visit is scheduled 6 to 8 weeks after the initial procedure. The procedure should last approximately 2 to 3 years depending on the individual’s skin and how it is cared for.

Lip Color

With the lip procedure, one can choose to have just the lip-liner that gives definition to the vermillion line and cupids bow or have a full lip color that replaces the melanin that we have lost as we mature. At Advanced Dermagraphics we like to use shades of color that provide a “natural look” almost like the color of baby’s lip. We do have Poppy Red, Coral or Hot pink for a more dramatic look too.

Eyelash Enhancement

For the eyelash enhancement the color is applied in between the lashes where the hair follicle grows down to the mucosal tissue. This gives the appearance of fuller lashes and lends definition to the eye. This procedure is for anyone who likes a very conservative look. The aftercare is the same as described above in the Eyebrow description.

Eyeliner

The eyeliner procedure includes the eyelash enhancement, but with a thicker application of color above the lashes. Black/brown is the most “natural” color for an eyeliner. A variety of shades are available depending on the desired look. We also offer other pigment colors such as purple, green and blue. We take a conservative approach with all permanent makeup applications. Our philosophy is “go light go less” we can always darken and thicken but we cannot do the reverse”.

Areola Restoration

The art of restoring the appearance of an areola to patients who have undergone a Mastectomy and Breast reconstruction is a blessing. Tammy D’Eramo uses a technique that involves shading to create a three-dimensional look effect. Different shades of pigment are used to create the illusion of a nipple. We can also enhance existing areolas by darkening and increasing the size.

Skin Care Treatments

Zyme Peel

Enzyme treatments may be performed with or without other exfoliation procedures. The Zyme Peel is a gentle papain, bromelain, and zinc enzyme powder that, when mixed with an activator and steamed, softens sebum and dissolves keratin buildup. It eliminates dead cells, digests surface debris, removing excess dry, flaky skin without irritating the epidermal tissue. Great for patients that have Rosacea.

Vitamin A Micro Peel

The Vitamin A micro Peel is a combination of pure retinol and lactic acid that will help tone, exfoliate, condition, and improve the complexion. This skin care treatment is excellent for photo-damaged or aging skin where increased cell turnover and stimulation of collagen production is needed. The skin may peel lightly for up to a week.

25% Lactic Acid Peel With Green Tea

A Lactic Acid Peel is generally the safest exfoliation procedure for sensitive skin because it is less drying and irritating. It is largely known for its ability to increase the water -holding the capacity of the top layer of the skin. Lactic acid is in many over the counter lotions and helps combat dry skin. Because of its hydrating benefits, the Lactic acid will give the patient the smoothing needed without the dryness that can occur with other peel procedures.

Glycolic Peel

As the outer layers of the epidermal cells are removed, the skin can regain a more youthful look. Glycolic acid is made from natural fruit acids (alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs) that rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old, sun-damaged skin. An ideal treatment for those who are unable to take the time for a deeper peel. Best results were seen with at least 3-6 treatments.

Jessner Peel

The Jessner Peel is a superior treatment that is designed to exfoliate several layers of the epidermis. It is the most aggressive peel we offer. A Jessner peel is a combination of salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol that can be used to lighten hyper-pigmentation and treat aged, sun-damaged skin. This peel results in a regenerating effect and gives patients a smoothing and retexturing, not typically achieved with AHA and BHA fruit acid peels. There is some downtime associated with this peel.
